What we do

The Wauwatosa Municipal Court handles civil matters, specifically ordinance violations, rather than criminal cases. Our primary role is to administer justice and ensure accountability when individuals are found in violation of local ordinances. Cases are decided by a judge, without the involvement of a jury. If you wish to appeal a judge’s decision, it will be heard by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Note that in 2025, Municipal Court is will transition from night-time operations to day-time court sessions.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we offer multiple payment options: online, by mail, via our secure payment depository, or in person during regular office hours.
