We encourage you to eliminate attractants on your property and to re-instill coyote’s fear of humans though hazing efforts. Please share this information with friends and neighbors; minimizing interactions is most effective when we work together.

Report a Coyote Sighting

You can see information about coyote sightings and report a coyote sighting in Milwaukee County at Milwaukee County Coyote Watch.

Report a Coyote Incident

If your pet is attacked or nuisance behavior occurs, we will engage an animal removal specialist to attempt to locate and remove the coyote. You can also report the instance to the Department of Natural Resources at the Wildlife Hotline: email DNRWildlifeSwitchboard@wisconsin.gov or call 608-267-0866.

Nuisance coyote behavior is a pattern of aggressive activity that has been documented through multiple reports of:

  • Threatening interactions towards humans:
    • Growling
    • Baring teeth
    • Lunging
    • Scratching
    • Flanking
    • Chasing
    • Biting
  • A verified pet attack/injury
  • A human attack
