Project Overview 

In 2023, starting in July and lasting until mid-fall, there will be construction occurring to improve the conditions of N 115th Street from Blue Mound Road to Underwood Parkway.  Work will include:

  • Replacement of the existing storm sewer system on 115th, Potter Road and 116th St immediately south of Potter Road. 
  • Limited curb & gutter replacement along 115th St.
  • Removal of existing pavement and replacement with asphalt pavement on 115th St.
  • Pedestrian improvements at the 115th St. and Potter Road intersection.
  • Replacement of the existing street lighting along 115th St.

 How Closures Will Work

  • N. 115th Street between Underwood Parkway and Blue Mound Road will be closed to thru traffic until mid-fall.  Residents who live in the area will have access thru the construction zone.
  • It is anticipated that the Potter Road intersection with 115th St. will reopened in late August. 115th St. will remain closed to thru traffic north and south of Potter Road.
  • Driveways should remain accessible overnight for most residents during the course of the project.  During the day, there may be times when your driveway will not be accessible while work occurs in the immediate area of your residence. 

Garbage, Yard Waste, and Leaf Collection

  • Garbage collection and yard waste are not expected to experience any disturbances. There may be reasonable accommodations or delays to leaf collection services in early fall. All delays or changes will be communicated to affected residents.
