Our Community Service Officers (CSO) play an important role in Wauwatosa's public safety initiatives. These officers service the Wauwatosa Police Department, and assist with parking enforcement, traffic control, ordinance violation enforcement, and regular vehicle and equipment maintenance. CSOs interact with the public frequently.

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license with a minimum number of traffic infractions in the past 5 years.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work all three shifts and weekends.
  • Excellent moral character and highest personal integrity.
  • Must have the ability to work with and respect the chain of command.
  • Willing to go through and be exposed to O.C. (pepper spray) training.
