Flu Vaccine
Getting a flu vaccine is important to protect yourself, your family, and your community from flu. Everybody aged 6 months and older can get the flu vaccine. While people may think about flu in the colder months, it can also spread in the summer. Don't let the flu stop you. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at high risk of serious complications from the flu. Get your flu vaccine today.
Thank you for your interest in our 2024 Children & Adult Flu Clinics. Our clinics will be held on October 10 and November 14 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on both days.

At the Flu Clinic:
- A mask is optional to enter the clinic.
- Hand sanitizer will be offered to cleanse hands.
- Anyone having symptoms of COVID (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, headache, chills, muscle aches, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste and/or smell) will be asked to reschedule.
- Per CDC guidance, co-administration of the COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine during the same visit is completely safe. Individuals six months of age and older are recommended to receive their flu vaccine before the end of October.
Sensory Clinic:
- Available to children 6 months and up.
- Sensory clinics offer a positive, supportive, and calm vaccine experience in a lower sensory environment.

Fees:
- We do not have the ability to file with private insurance companies.
- Children (6 Months through 18 Years): The vaccination fee is $0 per dose at our flu clinic.
- Adults (19 Years and older): There is a $35 fee for adults receiving the flu vaccine.
- Seniors (65 Years and older):
- High-dose formulation is a quadrivalent vaccine. There is a $65 fee for the high-dose flu vaccine.
- Please decide which flu vaccine you wish to receive at the time of arrival.
- Medicare Part B covers the cost of both flu vaccines.
- We cannot bill Medicare Advantage Plans. Payment is required at the time of service. You will be provided a receipt upon payment which you may use to file with your insurance for reimbursement.
- Seniors must bring their current health insurance card(s) to the clinic. For any claims rejected by Medicare, the individual will receive a bill from the Wauwatosa Health Department for the vaccine.
Acceptable payments for adults and seniors are cash, credit cards, and personal checks. Checks can be made out to the City of Wauwatosa.
