The City of Wauwatosa is home to several distinct business districts, each home to diverse retail, office, and industrial corporations.

Northwest Corridor

Northwest Corridor is the industrial/warehousing district of the community. This part of the city is home to major manufacturers such as Brigg’s & Stratton and Harley-Davidson Corp., along with numerous smaller industrial and warehousing businesses. This neighborhood presents several exciting opportunities for new investment.

North Mayfair Road

North Mayfair Road’s access to Highway 45 and location within the heart of metropolitan Milwaukee suggest that it will continue to be one of the region’s prime office and retail districts. North Mayfair Road is home to Milwaukee’s premiere shopping destination, Mayfair. Mayfair has been designated as Milwaukee’s #1 shopping and entertainment destination since 2007.

Milwaukee County Grounds

The Milwaukee County Grounds is home to the Milwaukee County Research Park, the Technology Innovation Center, and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. These institutions form the largest concentration of medical and technical research and application within Southeastern Wisconsin. 

The Village

The Village of Wauwatosa is the historic commercial heart of the City. Century-old brick buildings are nestled in a setting resembling a European Village. A mix of local and national shops and restaurants secure the needs of local residents and employees of the nearby Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.

East Tosa

East Tosa, between Wauwatosa Avenue and 60th Street along North Avenue, is classic “Main Street USA.” Sixteen blocks of business provides a wide array of goods and services. Home prices continue to climb within the tree-lined residential neighborhoods north and south of North Avenue. The Washington Highlands, one of the region’s premiere residential neighborhoods, is located nearby.

West North Avenue

As a major Milwaukee arterial street, West North Avenue attracts local residents and commuters to a wide-array of commercial establishments mixed with single and multi-family homes.

West Blue Mound Road

West Blue Mound Road is a major Milwaukee arterial with a mix of retail and office, along with a small light-industrial district.
