The Department of Public Works has scheduled repairs for 68th St. between Hillcrest Dr. and Lloyd Street. Our crews will remove the temporary asphalt repair and make permanent repairs to the pavement where utility repairs were previously made.

Project Details:
The repairs are scheduled from Monday, Aug. 5, to Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. Please note that the project's duration may change depending on unexpected issues arising during the repair process or due to weather conditions. The Department of Public Works will notify you if the project's timeline needs to be adjusted.

Traffic Impact:
Due to the location of the repairs, we will need to close the northbound lane of 68th St. between Milwaukee Ave. and Lloyd Street. The southbound lane will remain open throughout the repair process. To ensure smooth traffic flow, we have established a detour route to guide motorists around the work zone using 69th Street, Milwaukee Ave., and Lloyd Street.

Access to Driveways:
We understand the importance of maintaining access to your homes during this period. While the northbound lane is closed, we will ensure access to your driveways remains open. Please enter your driveways from the southbound lane during the construction. We understand you may have to use the detour to access your driveway from the southbound lane. While this may be a minor inconvenience, it is for your and our employee’s safety. Please do not drive through the construction zone or past the barricades. There may be excavations, equipment, or supplies staged in the work zone that may be hard to see, especially at night.
