Sixty-five artists—many of them first-time Firefly exhibitors— will take to the gardens of the historic Kneeland-Walker House for the Wauwatosa Historical Society’s 37th annual Firefly Art Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, and Sunday, August 6.
The Fair will feature paintings, pottery and ceramics, glass, basketry, jewelry, fiber art, mosaics, photography, pen and ink drawings, metal work and wood. Many of the artists have donated pieces for a Silent Auction.
Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter John Gimler, known as Johnny G., will perform acoustic guitar from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 5. Cold Front Trombone Quartet will perform from noon to 3:00 on Sunday, August 6. A sound system will provide music throughout the art fair grounds.
A historic exhibit returns to the Queen Anne Victorian Kneeland-Walker house. The exhibit includes glass plates that belonged to the Lefeber family, early settlers of Wauwatosa, as well as select prints from those plates and a display of historic photographic equipment.
Meals and refreshments will be provided by Meat on the Street food truck, Cuppa Tosa, Jojo’s Martini Lounge and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
