Parade
In 2023 only, the 4th of July parade has a new route due to construction on the usual route. The parade will leave from the Hoyt Pool parking lot at 9:00 am, with lineup beginning at 7:30 am. The parade will then proceed north on Swan (92nd Street) to North Avenue, then turn right on North Avenue to 76th Street.
Afternoon Program
The afternoon program begins at 1:00 pm at Hart Park, located at 73rd Street and Chestnut Street. The program consists of judging of decorated bikes, coaster wagons, doll buggies, and battery-operated children's vehicles. The afternoon program is also a food drive for Tosa Cares Food Pantry. Bring one non-perishable food item to register a decorated bike, wagon, etc. Activities such as games and face painting will also be available, as well as free ice cream.
Entertainment at The Rotary Stage begins at 5:00 pm, with the Esprit Petites, Jackson Park Orchestra, Esprit Juniors, and Esprit Seniors.
Evening Program and Fireworks
The evening program at Hart Park begins at 7:00 pm with music. Residents are encouraged to stay for firework viewing at 9:15 pm. The viewing location for fireworks is Hart Park, along 65th Street and River Parkway, with the launch site being 63rd Street and River Parkway.
