--FAQs--

Who needs to register?

  • Everyone 3 and older.
  • But what if I’m watching? – Yes, we are charged per person… and trust us, this is a really low cost.  Plus, it’s for the children. Please reach deep for those kiddos

    Do I need a shirt?

No, but they are awesome and a great way to show your support!

Where do I pick up the shirts and packets?

    • They will be sent home with your student (sent to their classroom)
    • For those that don’t have students or just want to support, we'll have alternative places to pick up… like the library or The Landing Beer Garden in Tosa.
    • As an alternative, you can opt-out of a shirt

    Why Walk, Run, Roll?

We recognize that people travel in many ways – per zoo policy, please stick to utilizing your feet, walking aid, wheelchair, and/or stroller. We want to be as inclusive as possible. If you have a specific need, please contact us.

Do I get a bib number?

No – we are revitalizing this event and bringing it back to the zoo. This means that you have two options: A ‘Fun Run’ before the zoo opens (starts at 8:15 a.m.) OR a leisurely jog, walk or roll between 9:30 a.m and 11 a.m.

How do I get into the zoo?

You will get a QR code approximately one week before the event. It will be unique to you. They will scan as you enter.

What if I registered myself as a walker and I now want to run? Or run and now want to walk?

Relax – it's all good. Enjoy the day and come to support the kiddos in any way you can.  Even if you can’t be there, we appreciate your support!

Can I just use my zoo pass?

No (sorry). We have to pay for the space, and for each person who comes to our area (unless you’re under 2).

    Can I bring my dog?

    No. Only service animals.

    Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. Or Wheelchair or whatever you need to get around.

    What is the route?

We'll post a map in July. You will be able to download it.

    What if it rains?

The zoo is open rain or shine, so we’ll be there whatever weather.

    Where do we meet?

The information table within the Maple Cove/Oak Grove area is the designated meeting place if you get separated from your child. Please point this out as you enter the zoo and make sure your child has your cell phone number if possible. Finally, all volunteers and EFW board members will be wearing official event shirts in lime green so you can tell your children that they are a safe contact.
