We invite you to join us for a special Tosa Takes Out the Trash day.
We will focus on specific areas of our City that often collect the most litter - spaces like the medians and sidewalks along Burleigh Street, North Avenue and Wauwatosa Avenue, for example. Besides keeping Tosa beautiful, this trash pickup effort also helps our team who mow our green spaces to grow healthy grass and prevent additional wear and tear on our equipment.
We recommend volunteers ages 12 and older. Please use this form to sign up if you would like to help pitch in as we pitch out the trash! The deadline to sign up is April 15. Neighborhood associations and other groups welcome. If you have a neighborhood association or group that's interested in volunteering or would like more details, please contact the Public Works Office at tparks@wauwatosa.net or 414-471-8422. Please email tparks@wauwatosa.net with any questions.
What to bring:
- We suggest wearing long pants, long sleeves, and whatever outerwear is appropriate for the weather.
- Bring your own preferred gloves. We will have a small supply of gloves, but some people prefer to bring their own.
Where to meet:
On April 30, 2022, please meet at Public Works, 11100 W. Walnut Rd. Enter on 113th Street off of Watertown Plank Road. Do not use the entrance from Mayfair Road. We'll have you sign in and assign your volunteer zone from there.
