50th KIDS from Wisconsin

The 50th Kids from Wisconsin troupe, 36 principal performers and 10 understudies, descended upon the Wisconsin State Fair Youth Center on June 2nd to begin rehearsals for their summer tour. Our highly acclaimed artistic staff are working with these young professionals to put together a two-hour, fully-staged Broadway-quality production. This year’s performance will “Shine the Light” on 50 years, incorporating hit songs from each of the decades the KIDS have existed, along with five decades of Broadway’s best. This year’s production is sure to be a multi-generational crowd pleaser!

Along with learning the show, members are being trained in leadership and outreach skills, all before the June 21st Premier in Wauwatosa, presented by the Wauwatosa Rotary Club.

The 50th Anniversary Tour will cover more than 6000 miles, stopping at dozens of hometowns across the state, performing to over 120,000 people, and conducting workshops with nearly 1,000 children to help them begin to realize their musical dreams!
