Help Clean Out Invasive Species

  • Date: 05/02/2021 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM  

There will be a volunteer invasive species removal event in the County Grounds Park/Sanctuary Woods at noon on Sunday, May 2. Join other volunteers for two hours of hand-pulling invasives, including dames rocket, garlic mustard, buckthorn sprouts and others. 

• Everyone is encouraged to bring their own work gloves. 
• No tools will be used—appropriate for all ages.
• No experience needed—training and supervision will be provided. 
• Register here—reservations are requested for coordination purposes.
• Masks are required during the cleanup, regardless of vaccination status. Non-family/pod members will be distanced at least six feet apart.
• No food or beverages will be provided—each participant is encouraged to bring their own labeled water. There are no onsite restrooms.
• Dress for the weather—the event will take place rain or shine, except if there's lightning. 

The group will be meeting at noon at the Men's Pavilion.
