The four homes on this year’s WWC holiday tour will introduce visitors to a variety of architectural styles as well as major remodeling efforts and elegant seasonal decorations. The annual home tour will be Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission will be $20 for tickets purchased in advance and $25 at the door. These homes will be featured:
• Frieda and Pierre Payne, 1940 Wauwatosa Ave., have a 1922 English Cottage style home designed by Brust and Phillip Architects. They did major remodeling in 1996 and 2009.
• The Pat and Dennis Faherty house, 2114 Wauwatosa Ave., is an 1888 Queen Anne Style “painted lady” with Victorian wallpaper, four and one-half bedrooms, two fireplaces, pocket doors, and front and back staircases.
• The home of Jennifer and Scott Lemke, 6723 Vista Ave., was built in 1910. The original bungalow was 1,000 square feet on an 8,700 square-foot lot. Total renovation began in 2017, creating a home with an open concept aesthetic.
• Nancy and Tom Wilke’s home, 7907 Mary Ellen Place, is a 1930’s Lannon Stone Tudor. The Cotswold style four-bedroom house has received many updates, but great care has been given to preserving its original charm.
