The Ellen Winters Quartet will kick-off the new Courtyard Concerts in front of Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church, 1529 Wauwatosa Ave., with a performance Saturday, August 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to this free concert. Parking is available in the surface lot behind the church off of Underwood Avenue (directly across from the fire station). In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the church Fellowship Hall. Enter the building through any one of three doors off the parking lot or the main entrance on Wauwatosa Avenue. The church is handicap accessible. Winters has been singing professionally for more than 25 years and has appeared at the Montreux and North Seas Jazz Festivals in Europe, Rocky Mountain Jazz Festival in Banff and numerous U.S. festivals. She received the 2017 Best Jazz Artist Award from the Milwaukee Shepherd Express People’s Choice Poll.
