Topics this week during city meetings include:

  • Ad Hoc Committee (December 7, 5:30 pm) will discuss police department data, police department training, police external communication, and the use of no-knock warrants.
  • Plan Commission (December 7, 6:00 pm) will discuss:
    • Public hearing and consideration of request by John Vassallo, Mo's Irish Pub, for a conditional use at 10842 West Blue Mound Road to amend the operating hours
    • Request by John R. Stigler, PLS, Jahnke & Janke Associates, LLC., for a land combination by certified survey map at 8948 Watertown Plank Road
    • Public hearing and consideration of the request by Corey Lapworth, AIA, Continuum Architects & Planners, S.C., for a conditional use at 8948 Watertown Plank Road to expand the Ronald McDonald House
    • Request by Shelly Alvarado, Cardinal Capital Management, Inc., for a Land Division by certified survey map at 2506 Wauwatosa Avenue
    • Request by Shelly Alvarado, Cardinal Capital Management, Inc., for a zoning map amendment at 2506 Wauwatosa Avenue
    • Request by Shelly Alvarado, Cardinal Capital Management, Inc., for a planned unit development preliminary plans at 2506 Wauwatosa Avenue for a multi-unit residential development
  • Transportation Affairs (December 8, 7:00 pm) will review revisions to the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program Guidelines and see recommendations about parking regulation modifications on Blue Mound Road for the construction and operation of BRT Bus Stations
  • Community Affairs (December 8, 7:30 pm) will hear a request by Mark Hammond for a planned unit development amendment at 6400 River Parkway, a presentation by Assistant City Attorney on resources for tenants in Wauwatosa facing eviction, a discussion regarding an extension of the face covering ordinance, and a presentation by Brian Lenz of the American Bird Conservancy regarding bird-friendly building ordinances
  • Financial Affairs (December 8, 7:30 pm) will review a request for a Level 3 Fund Transfer to repair damaged wayfinding signs and kiosks, a transfer from contingency to fund overtime in the Police Department, and a presentation related to the 2020 Finance Department Annual Report

Virtual Meetings

The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through March 2, 2021. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
