Wauwatosa's mayor, is responsible for serving as the chief executive officer and spokesperson for the City. As such, the mayor has numerous public speaking commitments from groundbreaking ceremonies to school groups and business associations. Additionally, the mayor is required to attend numerous local, regional, state, and occasionally, national meetings.
The mayor is the city’s representative at meetings of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and U.S. Conference of Mayors. The mayor is a vice chairman of the executive board for Visit Milwaukee and a member of the Intergovernmental Cooperative Council and serves as secretary of the Wauwatosa Economic Development Corporation. Also, the mayor is an appointee to the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation and the Wisconsin Center District.
