Qualifications
Overview
Individuals who are of good sound character, honest in thought and deed, unbiased, non-prejudicial, and possessing a positive attitude toward public service. Also, those who are willing to assist in serving mankind; to safeguard lives and property; and to assist in the protection of the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression, and the peaceful against violence and disorder.

If you are such an individual, the Wauwatosa Police Reserves would like to meet you.

Specific Qualification Requirements
The minimum requirements for potential candidates includes the following:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimal Traffic Violations
  • No Domestic Abuse Violations
  • Good Moral Character
  • Pass a Background Inspection
  • 18 Years of Age
  • Valid Wisconsin Drivers License
  • No Felony Convictions
  • Good Physical Condition
  • Pass Oral Interview(s)
 
Minimum: 75 Volunteer Hours Per Calendar Year
Minimum: 8 Monthly Meetings Attended per Calendar Year (third Wednesday of Every Month @ 7:00 pm)
