Menomonee River Parkway Renewal

Menomonee River Parkway Project Information
The Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa underwent a significant transformation in 2015 under a major restoration and renewal project by Milwaukee County. In addition to the new road surface, project added expanded bike and pedestrian amenities with traffic calming features, bio-filtration basins and rain gardens to filter storm water run-off and storm water management basins to help during high water events.

Phase One of the work on the Parkway consisted of two segments, Congress to Burleigh and Burleigh to Swan, and is complete.

Phase Two was broken down into two segments – Segment One from Burleigh to Swan Blvd has been completed, as well as, the badly deteriorated road surface from Church Street to Charles Hart Parkway.

Segment Two is from Charles Hart Parkway to Swan Blvd has been resumed as of March 28 and is scheduled to be complete in June. The remaining signage, striping and landscaping will also be completed during this final phase of the Parkway construction.
