Deputy Chief Brent Lee started his fire service career in 1991 with the Milwaukee Fire Department where he worked as a firefighter for six years. In 1997, he was hired by the City of Wauwatosa Fire Department and has held the positions of Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician, Lieutenant, Technical Rescue Team Leader, Deputy Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief, and Shift Commander. Deputy Chief Lee is also a member of The Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs’ Association, Wisconsin State Fire Inspectors Association, and The International Association of Arson Investigators.
Deputy Chief Lee has an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science and he holds certifications in; Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Instructor, Fire Officer, Driver/Operator, and Firefighter I, II, and III. In addition, he has attended numerous courses in fire inspecting and investigation as well as workshops hosted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Wisconsin Emergency Management.
As the Shift Commander for Crew 2, Deputy Chief Lee manages daily shift activities including emergency responses. He also takes the role of Incident Commander at significant emergencies. Deputy Chief Lee is also responsible for managing the Telestaff Project, which will result in the computerization of all staffing decisions including selection of time off and the creation of daily assignments.
