Battalion Fire Chief Stacey Lueptow started her fire service career in 1994. She was hired by the Wauwatosa Fire Department in 1998. She has held the positions of Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Hazmat Team Leader, Lieutenant, and now Shift Commander and Battalion Chief of Crew 1. In addition to her role as a Shift Commander she is also the chief responsible for managing the department’s Emergency Medical Services.
Battalion Chief Lueptow currently has a Bachelor’s Degree in education and holds certifications in; Firefighter I and II, Driver/Operator, Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, EMS Instructor II, Safety Officer, and holds several other Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) certifications. She is also a nationally registered EMT-Paramedic. She is planning to pursue certification as an Executive Fire Officer and a Masters in Public Administration.
As a Shift Commander for Crew 1, Battalion Chief Lueptow manages daily shift activities including all large scale emergency responses. She also manages and implements emergency medical policy and practices and is in charge of quality assurance treatment and reporting of all patients treated by Wauwatosa Fire Department.
